Soy Products for Aquafeed
On a global basis, heat processed full-fat soybean, mechanically extracted soybean cake, solvent extracted soybean meal, and dehulled solvent extracted soybean meal are the most commonly used soybean products in feeds for aquaculture species. Demonstrations with low-cost soy hulls as a fiber source for grass carp have also shown good results in China. Research on soy protein concentrate and soybean oil for use in aquafeeds is also ongoing and will be published as the data becomes available.
