Salmonid Research Results Recently fish meal prices have increased significantly, which increases prices of aquafeed, particularly for the carnivorous species. This global situation represents an opportunity for use of soy protein in diets fed to fish and crustaceans. Historically, use of soy protein concentrate (SPC) was limited because of price. However, with current fish meal prices, SPC becomes a viable ingredient for several species. This Technical Bulletin presents data on digestibility of nutrients and results from USB sponsored feeding trials.
